26GHz high frequency radar level transmitter is the mainstream product of solid level measurement.The maximum measuring distance up to 70 meters. The antenna is further optimized, and the newtype microprocessor can perform higher rate of signal analysis and processing, making the instrument available for complex measurement conditions, such as reactors, solid silos.

The 26GHz high frequency radar level transmitter(DCRD1000Aseriesare researched and produced by Xi’an Dechuang Electrical Technology Co., Ltd independently, it has the following performance features.

1.  High frequency radar level transmittermainly refers to 26GHz and 24GHz has the advantages of high energy, small beam angle(for example, the beam angle is 8°of the Φ96 horn antenna 6°of Φ121 horn antenna, and 4°of Φ242 paraboloid antenna), small antenna size and high accuracy. While the low frequency radar often leads to bad directivity because of low energy and big beam angle. The beam angle is 15°for the Φ242 horn antenna of low frequency radar. Note: when the frequency is stable, the bigger antenna, the smaller beam angle.

2.  The radar wave length of 26GHz is 11mm, 6GHz is 50mm. The radar reflection mainly comes from the diffuse of the material surface when measuring bulk material level. The strength of the diffuse reflection is in proportion to the material particle size, and inversely proportion to the wavelength, that is for the same material, the shorter the wavelength is, the more easier to reflection, thus the echo signal is better of the radar when measuring. It’s like basketball meets table tennis, usually the basketball will not bounce back; but when table tennis meets basketball, the table tennis will be bounced back. Generally most bulk materials diameter is far smaller than 50mm, So 26GHz radar is the best choice to measure the material level.

3.  Due to the poor site conditions, as time goes by radar antenna will accumulate dirt, moisture, etc. The 26GHz radar with small antenna and with additional radome can greatly reduce dirt, water vapor effect on the measurement results. While the antenna of low frequency 6GHz is to large to add radome, and it’s difficult to clear because of the large size.

4.  The measuring range of low frequency6GHz should not exceed 30m when measuring solid materials, it can not measure all the material level of some applicationslike some cement plants which over 2500T/d; the measuring range of high frequency radar is 70m, even 100m, this can fully meet the application requirements of large-scale cement production line.

5.  Due to the high frequency radar level transmitter is with advantages of directional well, small launch angle and strong anti-jamming capability, which determines it is very suitable for larger diameter bin level measurement, especially such as calcium carbide furnace charge, converter bin, etc., but low frequency radar is hardly meet the requirements of measuring in these cases.

6.  To compared with high frequency radar, the ability to fight dust of low frequency radar is much less than the high frequency radar because of its low frequency, energy dispersion, energy concentration.
